When the day met the night they promised to see each other again.
I surely am lucky enough to have read the short story The Ox by H.E.Bates. An woman, Mrs Thurlow,worked her day out, toiling for her children and her drunkard and retired ex-army man husband. She cared to save every single penny she could. She had a dream . She wanted to see her children get educated in the best of the schools.
'...The world into which she moved was very small: from six to nine she cleaned for the two retired sisters, nine to twelve for the retired photographer, twelve-thirty to three for the poultry farm, four to six for the middle-aged bachelor. She did not think of going beyond the four lines which made up the square of her life. She thought of other people going beyond them, but this was different. Staring down at a succession of wet floors, working always for other people, against time, she had somehow got into the habit of not thinking about herself......

She kept her money under the mattress feeling happy with every passing day that the money is going to fulfill her dream or the dream of her family.However her husband returns one day after a drunken brawn at the local inn, murders a man and escapes with Mrs Thurlow's lifelong savings.
Mrs Thurlow meets him for the last time in jail ,who is now convicted of murder and sentenced to death.But the man is completely insane now and gives a blank stare.
She returns and engages herself in the same work she was used to. Her children deserts also desert her and she pound herself painfully into the future.
How is the story? Painful!! Tragedy of immense sacrifice.
ALL THE EFFORT OF A MOTHER GOING THROUGH THE SINK LEAVING NOT A SINGLE STRAW OF HOPE!!!
Is that all we can salvage? No hope? Nothing?
Nothing? Nowhere to go? Nothing to dream of ?
Not today. Not today. Not in the future.
Remember there will also be a Magi- a wise and sage-like human in this world!!!
There has to be redemption.
Let us for a moment imagine that we are going to have a conversation with Mrs Thurlow and make her feel optimistic again. We are going to assure her that her financial debacle is going to be fixed.

We are going to ask her a couple of questions. They will be as follows:
Us: Mrs Thurlow can you dream again?
Mrs Thurlow : I cannot dream . I can only work without thinking or dreaming.
Us: But you had a dream!

1. SHE IS EXTREMELY DISCIPLINED.
2. SHE HAS A ROUTINE WHICH SHE STRICTLY ADHERES TO.
3.SHE IS NOT HYPERSENSITIVE TO A FINANCIAL DISASTER.
4. SHE HAS LEARNT NOT TO LIVE OTHER PEOPLE'S DREAMS.
5.SHE HAS A HOUSE OF HER OWN.
DISADVANTAGES OF MRS THURLOW:
1.SHE DOESN'T HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT.
2. SHE DOESN'T HAVE A MEDICAL INSURANCE.
3.SHE DOESN'T HAVE A TERM-END LIFE INSURANCE.
4.SHE HAS NO INVESTMENTS IN MUTUAL FUNDS.
Our suggestion to Mrs Thurlow:
1. Please open a bank account.
2. please get yourself insured.This should be for your children's sake.
3. Please seek an adviser who will guide you to invest in mutual funds.
4. Please remember you need only a little amount of money every month to get a secure financial future!!
We believe in you Mrs Thurlow!!! You can !! You are exemplary in your courage and determination!!! Keep moving!!
